General Council Meetings
General Council Meetings are held Quarterly and one Annual meeting which is usually held in January.
Regular/Quarterly General Council Meetings:
The Tribal Council shall set Regular/Quarterly Meetings of the General Council at 12:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of each of the following months: February, August and November. (May meeting is held the third saturday of the month)
The Annual Meeting of the General Council shall include, but not be limited to, the approval of the Annual Budget of the Tribe, pursuant to Article V, Section 2, (f), and shall take place at 12:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of each January.
Special General Council Meetings may be called by the Tribal Chairperson from time to time, General Council Members shall receive at least a 15 working days written notice of date, time, place and reason for the meeting.Special Meetings of the General Council shall be called:
(A) By the Tribal Chairperson upon a petition presented with at least thirty (30%) percent of the eligible voters, or
(B) Upon written request of a majority of the Tribal Council, or
(C) When otherwise deemed necessary by the Tribal Chairperson.
It is important that all Tribal Members attend General Council Meetings to receive important information regarding the Tribe. Voting General Council Members should be present to establish a quorum in order to vote on items on the agenda. A quorum of the General Council must be present to conduct crucial business. The quorum consists of 15% of voting members.
Tribal Council Meetings
All Tribal Members are invited and encouraged to attend Tribal Council Meetings.
Regular Tribal Council Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m.
Tribal Council Meetings are held to take care of Tribal Business and are conducted in a cordial manner.
