California Indian Manpower Consortium, Inc. (CIMC) has recently received funds to implement another COVID-19 response program that can provide food assistance, gas assistance, or internet payments to Native Americans living in the designated counties of Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba.
To apply, please complete and sign the CIMC COVID-19 Assistance Form to provide information on each household including mailing address, type(s) of assistance needed, and contact information. Once signed, please email your application to Seabaze Whitmore at email@example.com.
For the services, we are offering grocery gift cards, gas assistance, and/or 3 months of paid internet service. Gas and grocery assistance will be shipped to the mailing address listed on the application, and the internet bill will be paid to the provider. Grocery assistance will be provided in the form of a $75 Safeway gift card and a gift card agreement will need to be signed. Gas assistance will be in the form of a check.
For internet assistance, applicants will need to submit a copy of their current invoice, and if necessary, the time period that is needed to be paid. Community members can also attach their invoices for internet payments to their completed assistance form. If a household has a bundled package, CIMC will only pay for the internet fees. For internet assistance, CIMC will be unable to assist with more than 3 months of payment, and will not pay delinquent bills.
